Information & Fees

Sessions are available in person or remotely via Microsoft Teams.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

How often do sessions take place?

Sessions are scheduled once a week. The specific time and day will be mutually agreed upon and will generally remain consistent, though with some flexibility for negotiation.

Are sessions confidential?

Everything discussed during therapy sessions is held in strict confidence. I am, however, ethically obliged to breach confidentiality if there is convincing evidence that the client intends to harm themselves or others. In such cases, I will always make every effort to communicate with you before considering any necessity to breach confidentiality.

What types of issues do you specialise in?
I have experience working with a diverse range of concerns, including but not limited to: trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues, bereavement, personal development, and a search for meaning. Please contact me if you have specific questions about your unique situation.

What happens in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, what you would like to work on, and address any questions that you might have. You are encouraged to share as much or as little as you are comfortable with, and we will work at a pace that feels right for you. The main goal is to establish a comfortable and trusting space for our ongoing work.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can easily schedule an appointment by emailing me on maria.mtzp@outlook.com for filling in the 'Contact' form. I aim to respond within 24 hours.

What are your fees and payment options?

My fee is £80 per 50-minute session. Payment can be made via bank transfer.
I offer some concession rates - please contact me for specific pricing details.

Do you accept private health insurance?
I currently accept Vitality Health Insurance. I can also provide you with a detailed receipt that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. It is advisable that you check with your insurance company regarding their policies for out-of-network mental health services.

I hold full DBS clearance and professional indemnity insurance.

Please note that this is not a crisis service. If you feel at risk of harming yourself or someone else, please contact your GP’s out of hours service or present yourself to your local A&E, all of which are there to help.
